Eric is an Artesian well of ideas--clear, refreshing, and seemingly without limit. PIVOT clients and staff tap into Eric for his vision and guidance, and for thirty years, he’s delivered both in abundance.

Eric is a native Oregonian, and has deep roots in Lane County. His design reflects a true commitment and pride in his home; many projects such as the City Public Safety Buildings and Lane Transit District have won regional and national awards and attention.

His pastimes include travel and photography; Eric has the skill and soul of an artist. But he is far from an iconoclast, and thoroughly enjoys working in collaboration with clients, team members and community leaders. He often fills the role of mentor, leading design workshops and planning charettes; he also taught at the University of Oregon School of Architecture for ten years.

When asked to describe Eric, one client said, “I have his original doodle of our building that he did over lunch on a cocktail napkin…to me, he’s an architect’s architect.”
