harriet cherry, aia - principal

Harriet has unquenchable enthusiasm for life and architecture. She’s a dynamo on projects; her energy and verve provide leadership by example. Harriet makes everyone around her better, the hallmark of a true professional.
She has been at PIVOT since 1992, and much of her work during that time has been both community focused and award winning. Her portfolio includes major projects for Lane Transit District, other public buildings such as the rehabilitation of the Eugene Depot, and a variety of private clients.
Harriet has a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a way of working that is all Southern charm and grace. She loves talking about the profession and craft of architecture; to her the process is as important as the end result.
In describing her contribution to a long, involved project, a client said, “Harriet’s energy is amazing. If she ever sleeps, it must be because she has a cot in her office. Call anytime, and that’s where you’ll find her.”
