Paul Harman - designer

Really good jam reminds us of summer's abundance, the soil's fecundity and human craft. Paul Harman makes great jam partly because he is so taken with each. Trained in both landscape architecture and architecture, he has an appreciation of the interconnectivity of the natural world, built and unbuilt. He has apprenticed at a bell making foundry at Arcosanti, practiced timber frame carpentry at Heartwood in Massachusetts and now teaches digital modeling and fabrication at the UofO. His work shows that there can be a place for ornament in contemporary architecture, even if computer-derived. And that craft can taste good too.
